No two clients have the same needs and expectations, and designs on your garden works carefully with each client to create a personal and individual design. Those with lots of time and energy to spare sometimes choose to commission full garden plans from designs on your garden and then implement themselves, learning about gardening as they go. Others prefer a hands-off approach and are quite happy to leave absolutely all the hassle of selecting and buying materials, hiring and supervising labour, to contractors.

To ensure your consent and peace of mind at all critical stages on the way to the garden of your dreams, designs on your garden uses the following basic project framework:

  • consultation and planning

After an initial consultation with designs on your garden to establish your current and future requirements and your budget, a full survey is made of the site.

  • the design

The first stage consists of a discussion, on the basis of sketches, of design concepts. Following agreement, full scale plans are drawn, including

  1. a coloured concept design with sketches
  2. a detailed planting plan with botanical plant list
  3. detailed construction drawings.
  • implementation

The plans contain all the information you needed to build and plant your garden from start to finish. You may use them to get quotes from contractors; we recommend that you approach two or three reputable landscapers in your area and ask to see examples of their work. Where possible designs on your garden will advise you at this stage. We are always available via phone or email to answer queries from landscapers or clients re implementation and maintenance. This follow-up service is free.

  • maintenance

Basic maintenance details are included in the plans, but we can provide a full maintenance scheme if you would like. designs on your garden may be available for maintenance contracts on a time plus materials basis for selected properties in Catalunya.
